A series of images have surfaced online reportedly showing the next limited-edition hypercar from McLaren.

For nearly a year now, we’ve known that the British supercar maker has been developing a road-going version of the Vision Gran Turismo concept it unveiled in 2017. The car has been codenamed BC-03 and will reportedly be limited to just five units globally.

These images were recently shared online on numerous Instagram accounts, including Supercarpress One of them reportedly shows a camouflaged prototype being tested at night, while the rest are thought to be official renderings previewing the car. It has yet to be determined if the images are legit, but if they are, it would seem as though McLaren is getting ready to launch a hypercar even more over-the-top than the Senna.

Up front, the BC-03 sports a prominent and low nose with small, 720S-inspired headlights, while on the sides there are large air intakes to feed the mid-mounted engine. Things get particularly interesting at the rear, with a towering wing that supports LED taillights in the uprights and a dorsal fin with a third brake light running along the center of the decklid which shares obvious similarities with the one on the Vision Gran Turismo concept.

Another interesting piece of design are the small exhaust outlets that exit out right at the edge of the decklid.

The McLaren Vision Gran Turismo featured the company’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 mated to a pair of electric motors driving the front wheels for e-awd and a total output of 1150 HP and 1275 Nm (940 lbs-ft) of torque. It remains to be seen if the production car will feature the same powertrain or something similar to the one in the upcoming Speedtail’s hybrid unit.
