Actor and comedian Kevin Hart has reportedly suffered serious injuries after a disastrous crash involving his Hellcat-powered 1970 Plymouth Barracuda on Mulholland Highway in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Various media outlets report that Hart was a passenger in the customized Barracuda while his friend Jared S. Black was behind the wheel.

Sky News reports that the Plymouth speared through a guardrail on the side of the highway in Malibu before rolling over and coming to a rest in a ditch. Emergency crews arrived on the scene shortly after the crash and were able to recover the car.

Images shared on Twitter of the vehicle reveal that it was destroyed by the crash. Much of the roof appears to be missing, the windshield has been smashed, and a host of body panels have been torn off.

It is reported that Hart and a second passenger, 31-year-old Rebecca Broxterman, were able to reach his home, that’s nearby, after the crash. However, Hart and the driver were later transported to hospital where the actor reportedly has some kind of back injury.

Hart took delivery of his bespoke Barracuda in July. The car is powered by the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 Hellcat engine delivering 707 HP and sending its power to the rear wheels through a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. The Barracuda also features bespoke carbon fiber body panels and a fully restored and modernized interior. It clearly wasn’t cheap to build and has suffered so much damage that it likely cannot be rebuilt.
