How much are willing to spend on a daily driver that will put a big smile on your face and still has a decent-sized backseat and boot that’s actually big enough for luggage?
If your answer is between £20,000 and £25,000 ($26k-$31k), then you are in luck, because that’s the SilverstoneAuctions estimate for this Subaru WRX STI Final Edition, which goes under the gavel at the NEC Classic Car Sale on November 9-10.
Made in 2017 as a last hurrah to the fourth-gen model, it’s one of 150 allocated to the UK market and has only 110 miles (177 km) on the odometer. The WR Blue Pearl paintjob, 19-inch Gunmetal Grey alloy wheels, black leather and Alcantara interior with red accents and a few high gloss black inserts still look factory fresh.

The WRX STI Final Edition comes with an improved infotainment system with DAB radio and digital camera, new instrument panel, 5.9-inch multi-function display and heated front seats.
Improving the car’s cornering ability is the upgraded Multi-Mode Driver’s Control Center Differential, whereas stopping power comes from a Brembo braking system.
The limited-run WRX STI retains the familiar 2.5-liter turbocharged flat-four engine that is hooked up to the six-speed manual transmission and four-wheel drive. Thanks to its 296 HP (300 PS / 221 kW) produced at 6,000 rpm and 300 lb-ft (407 Nm) of torque at 4,000 rpm, the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint is dispatched in 5.2 seconds and top speed stands at 158 mph (254 km/h).
