Monterey Car Week has established itself as one of the most exclusive multi-day car events on earth and one of the finest events held during the week of festivities is The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering.

Every year, the event attracts a truly extraordinary array of cars and it was no different this year and in this clip from Carfection, we’re offered the chance to see the finest cars from the event.

One of the highlights was one of just six McLaren F1 LMs ever produced. Three of them are famously owned by the Sultan of Brunei while the two others sold to customers and painted orange reside in the U.S., one of which sits within Ralph Lauren’s collection. The XP1 LM prototype is still owned by McLaren.

Other extraordinary cars featured at The Quail this year included a handful of special Ferraris, rally cars, modified muscle cars, and much more. There was even a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing outfitted with a massive V8 engine.

Porsches also had a significant presence at the event. There was a 911 Safari parked in a bunker, for example, and a Porsche 911 GT2 RS with a custom carbon fiber wing. A V12-powered Jaguar XK150 also turned many heads and really caught the eye of presenter Henry Catchpole. Among the modern hypercars there included a handful of McLaren Sennas, the brand new Lotus Evija, an Acid Green Porsche 918 Spyder, and a silver Bugatti EB110 Super Sport.
