Audi hasn’t officially (or rather, fully) revealed the new RS7 Sportback just yet, but the display car has made its appearance next to the RS6 Avant at the VW Group’s preview night and no one could take their eyes off its bulging bodywork.
Some Youtubers like Shmee were also granted exclusive access to the new hot Audi, even taking it for a drive on a public road.
Audi Sport’s latest product comes complete with a huge honeycomb grille hosted on a very aggressive front bumper, wider fenders front and rear to cover the bigger wheels, deeper side skirts and a rear bumper that houses a set of massive oval exhaust pipes.

In fact, the new Audi RS7 Sportback is 40mm wider than its normal siblings, making sure that no one will mistaken it for a plain A7. Not with those fenders, wheels and bumpers, you won’t. A set of 21-inch wheels is standard, with 22-inch items being an option.
Power as expected comes from the same twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine found in the RS6, meaning an output of 592 HP (600 PS) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission is responsible of sending the power to all four wheels.
0-62 mph (100km/h) is dealt in 3.6 seconds while top speed is capped at 155 mph (250 km/h). Tick the right option and terminal velocity will be increased to either 174 mph (280 km/h) or 190 mph (305 km/h), depending on how much money you want to spend.
The powertrain is combined with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system while customers can opt for things like an all-wheel steering system for greater agility. The Quattro all-wheel drive sends up to 85 percent of the torque to the rear axle while there’s a new sport differential to further sharpen things up.
The new RS7 Sportback rides on air suspension as standard, with the RS Sport suspension offered as an option. As with the RS6 Avant, there are two new configurable RS1 and RS2 modes for the driver to tailor the car exactly as they want it.
