Just a few days after the Porsche Taycan debuted in Turbo and Turbo S forms at the Frankfurt Motor Show, it has been revealed that the range-topping Turbo S will soon be added to Gran Turismo Sport.
The announcement was made on Twitter with images showing the all-electric Porsche wearing white, grey, and green within the game. As always, the attention to detail is impeccable and you could be fooled for thinking these were actual photos of the new Taycan rather than shots from the game.
Gran Turimo’s tweet says the Porsche Taycan Turbo S will launch as part of a free DLC “by October” but didn’t provide a specific date.

Gamers with a soft spot for the Stuttgart brand will be pleased to know that there are other Porsche vehicles that will be added to Gran Turismo Sport. These include the Porsche 917 Living Legends Concept and a dedicated Porsche Vision Gran Turismo tipped to arrive by the end of 2020.
“Motorsport is part of our DNA and racing games offer great opportunities to drive a Porsche yourself on the racetrack,” vice president of marketing at Porsche, Kjell Gruner said. “The multi-award-winning ‘Gran Turismo’ franchise is the perfect partner for offering our fans the opportunity of having a Porsche experience in racing games. To further strengthen our esports engagement also has highest priority.”
Porsche says it worked with Gran Turismo Sport developer Polyphony Digital for nine months to ensure that the virtual Taycan featured the same driving characteristics as the real car.
.@Porsche's first fully electric car – the Taycan Turbo S – will be coming to GT Sport as a free DLC by October of this year!
