Ford has presented the 2020 Transit Custom Nugget camper van at the 2019 Motorhome and Caravan Show in Birmingham. The vehicle offers several novelties, starts at £56,273 ($70,811/€64,210) in the United Kingdom and will eventually be introduced in other European markets as well.
Placing an emphasis on connectivity and looking to alleviate FOMO (fear of missing out), the camper van features an onboard modem that delivers high-speed Wi-Fi internet for up to 10 devices and works up to 15 meters (49 feet) away from the vehicle.
Ford has also introduced a 185 PS (182 hp / 136 kW) variant of the 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel engine, available with either a manual or an automatic transmission. The 130 PS (128 hp / 96 kW) version is also being offered, albeit optimized so as to improve fuel efficiency by up to seven percent.

Additionally, the latest Transit Custom Nugget gets driver assistance technologies such as blind spot information with trailer tow, active park assist, lane keeping aid and adaptive cruise control.
Elsewhere, it features an adjustable tilt roof that creates a three-room layout with kitchenette, living and dining area and a bedroom in the roof. It’s equipped with auxiliary heating system, double-burner gas cooker, sink, 40-liter compressor refrigerator, on-board tanks for fresh and waste water and outdoor shower.
The SYNC 3 infotainment system, rear privacy glass, flip-open second-row windows and others are standard, and the vehicle can be equipped with optional premium sound system and racks for bikes and sports equipment.
