To my eyes (which, admittedly, aren’t great…), the BMW M8 is an absolutely jaw-dropping piece of design.
All too often, car manufacturers preview new vehicles with crazy concepts that are laughably removed from the eventual production car. That wasn’t really the case with the new BMW 8-Series as the road car looks just as good as the concept. Similarly, the newly launched M8 Gran Coupe is just as appealing to the eye as last year’s concept car.
With the M8 Gran Coupe now unveiled, customers will have three body styles to choose from with the company’s flagship performance vehicle; Coupe, Convertible, and Gran Coupe. However, what would happen if BMW added a fourth option, perhaps a touring model? This is what it could look like.

X-Tomi Design created the BMW M8 Touring rendering you see pictured below and while its shape certainly isn’t as appealing as the M8 Coupe, it still looks mighty fine. Ignore the questionable plum-colored paint scheme and it’s hard not to love the elongated roofline.
Unfortunately, there’s very little chance BMW will release an 8-Series Touring model, let alone an M8 Touring. The German company’s 5-Series Touring does an excellent job rivaling the likes of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate and Audi A6 Avant and demand for an estate model as luxurious and fast as an M8 Touring model probably isn’t all that high. Not all hope is lost, however, as there’s always a chance an 8-Series owner with money to burn may recruit a coachbuilder to create the ultimate estate car.
