Nissan is targeting the likes of the HSV SportsCat, Toyota HiLux Rugged X and Ford Ranger Raptor with their new Navara N-Trek Warrior.
Set to launch in December with pricing to be announced soon, the toughened up truck builds on the Navara N-Trek Dual Cab 4WD. It was developed for Australia and New Zealand, together with the automotive product development and engineering experts from Premcar.

Compared to the stock model, the new Navara N-Trek Warrior adds new suspension bits including different springs that are softer in the initial travel than the stock ones, backed up by dampers with larger internals. Along with the new 275/70 Cooper AT3 all-terrain tires that wrap around the unique 17-inch black alloy wheels, downsized from the stock 18-inch rims, the pickup rides 40 mm (1.6 in) higher.
To separate itself from the other models in the range, the 2020 Navara N-Trek Warrior comes with reworked bumpers, plastic add-ons, body-colored steel bull-bar, 3 mm (0.1 in) stainless steel front underbody protection, integrated 470 mm (18.5 in) LED light bar and full-size spare wheel and tire, with underbody accommodations to make it fit. It also gets dark orange accents around the fog lamp bezel surrounds and side mirror caps, decals on the lower parts of the doors and tailgate.
Inside, Nissan gave the truck unique plastic components, ‘N-Trek Warrior’ decals, and floor mats with orange accents. An 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated front seats and leather upholstery are also included.
Powering the N-Trek Warrior is a 2.3-liter turbodiesel, developing 140 kW (190 PS / 188 hp) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque, working alongside either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic transmission. As for the towing capacity, it remains unchanged at 3,500 kg (7,716 lbs).
