BMW has introduced an assortment of new M Performance Parts for a number of its SUVs. Designed to further enhance the “visual appeal and sporty characteristics” of the two models, the accessories include everything from styling upgrades to components that actually improve performance.
Starting with the exterior, the X6, X6 M and X5 M can be equipped with carbon fiber reinforced plastic components that feature a high-gloss finish. There are a handful of options to choose from as customers can order a grille, side sill inserts and a rear diffuser. The models can also be equipped with high-gloss black rear fins and a matching rear spoiler (X5 M only).
The standard X6 can be equipped with frozen black accents that run down the sides of the crossover and feature M Performance badging. The X7 is a little different, but it can be outfitted with black strips that constant nicely with optional carbon fiber mirror caps.

Moving into the cabin, the X5 M and X6 M can be outfitted with an M Performance steering wheel that features Alcantara grips and optional carbon fiber trim. This theme can be further enhanced by ordering “carbon fabric” paddle shifters. Rounding out the interior options are M Performance floor mats and stainless steel pedals for the X6 and X7. BMW describes them as a “very stylish motorsport-inspired extra.”
On the performance front, the X6 can be equipped with the same braking system used on the X5 M and X6 M. It features larger and lighter discs which promise to deliver improved braking performance. Customers can also order an assortment of wheels in sizes up to 22-inches.
Rounding out the accessories are an Alcantara key holder, M Performance tire bags and a set of M Performance slides for the door projectors that project BMW M and M Performance logos onto the ground.
