Dodge has just surpassed a rather intriguing milestone, revealing that it has introduced more than 500 million horsepower to roads around the world.
The car manufacturer has been enjoying strong sales recently thanks to the ‘Dodge Power Dollars’ program that provides anyone in the U.S. purchasing a 2019 Dodge Challenger, Charger, or Durango with a $10 cash allowance per horsepower. Dodge was initially aiming to hit the 500 million horsepower mark by the end of the year.

“‘Dodge Power Dollars’ has more than exceeded our expectations, giving a huge boost to Dodge performance across the country and helping us reach our goal of putting a half-billion horsepower into the hands of our loyal enthusiast by the end of the year,” global head of Alfa Romeo and head of passenger cars – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and Fiat, FCA – North America, Tim Kuniskis said. “These Dodge muscle cars are attracting a new generation of shoppers who are drawn to the performance, attitude and personality of the Dodge brand – a brand that continues to differentiate itself within the car segment. This is the golden age of muscle cars.”
‘Dodge Power Dollars’ will be available from dealer inventories of 2019 models until January 2, 2020. Those purchasing the range-topping Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye with its 797 hp get a $7970 cash allowance. For the Charger, the largest available cash allowance sits at $7070 for the Charger Hellcat that, of course, produces 707 hp. Dodge’s Durango family is topped out by the SRT available with a $4750 cash allowance for its 475 hp.
