Luxury and performance car buyers have embraced customization for quite some time now, so it’s little surprising that Ferrari has only now opened their first Tailor Made Center in the States.
Located in New York City, the newest Tailor Made Center is housed in a completely redesigned and enlarged showroom that now spans 6,600 square feet. Given that the center appeals to the wealthiest and most discerning Ferrari customers, the showroom features a private owners’ lounge as well as space for five cars on display.
Of course, the big news is the Tailor Made Center itself. As the automaker explained, it offers an “endless array of specification options to meet any Ferrari owner’s personality and tastes including an extensive range of fabrics, leathers, woods, colors and finishes.”

Since the choices can be a bit overwhelming, clients are assisted by a personal designer who guides them through the process. Together, they go over every aspect of the car’s design and finalize the configuration.
To help speed the process along, there are three collections which serve as a “starting point” for the Tailor Made program. The Scuderia collection draws inspiration from the company’s racing pedigree, while the Classica collection is focused on heritage and history. The third and final collection is known as Inedita and, in Ferrari’s own words, “allows free reign for experimentation.” This offers “endless” (sic) options for customization as the only limit is a customer’s imagination and their bank account.
The Tailor Made Center opened earlier this month and Ferrari expects it will become a destination for clients and enthusiasts from both North and South America.
