Hyundai Veloster N Performance Gets A Conceptual Image Boost For SEMA

The countdown to SEMA continues as Hyundai has unveiled the Veloster N Performance concept.

Looking bold and aggressive, the concept has been equipped with an assortment of components which maximize the “visual appeal and dynamic performance” of the hatchback.

On the styling front, the model has been equipped with a ram air hood and a front splitter. Designers also installed revised side skirts, a modified diffuser and a massive rear wing. There’s also orange accents and Capristo exhaust tips.

The Veloster rides on 19-inch OZ racing wheels which are wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires and feature N-brand carbon fiber wheel caps. They’re backed up by a high-performance braking system which has six-piston front calipers which grab onto 15-inch (380 mm) discs. Out back, there are four-piston calipers and 14.2-inch (360 mm) discs.

The sporty styling continues in the cabin as there’s plenty of Alcantara upholstery and carbon fiber trim. The model also has Sabelt sport seats, an aluminum gear knob and orange accents. Elsewhere, there’s special seat belts and N-branded door sill plates.

The changes are more than just skin deep as the Veloster has been equipped with an Extreme Racing coilover suspension that features H&R springs. The team also installed Daewon Steel anti-roll bars as well as front, center and rear chassis braces.

Hyundai didn’t mention performance specifications, but the standard Veloster N has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces up to 275 hp (205 kW / 279 PS) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed manual transmission which sends power to the front wheels.
