Mercedes will expand the second-gen CLA Coupe range in Australia with the CLA 250 and AMG CLA 35. Both are available for pre-order with prices starting from AU $68,800 (US $46,285) and AU $83,400 (US $56,108), respectively, and will arrive in the first quarter of the year.
Powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder twin-scroll turbocharged engine, with 225 kW (306 PS / 302 hp) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, hooked up to a 7-speed DCT and 4Matic AWD, the AMG CLA 35 does the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.7 seconds and tops out at 250 km/h (155 mph).

It features an AMG exhaust system with automatically controlled flap that modulates the tone, high-performance brakes, adaptive damping and five driving modes: Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual.
It also gets an AMG steering wheel, two-tone Lugano leather upholstery, heated and electrically adjustable front seats, and 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels.
The CLA 250 packs the 2.0-liter turbo-four, making 165 kW (224 PS / 221 hp) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. It comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.
Standard kit includes the AMG Line exterior, 18-inch five twin-spoke alloys, glossy black exterior details and tinted rear glass are included. The CLA 250 also gets a panoramic electric glass roof, keyless entry&go, active park assist, reversing camera, automatic headlights and wipers, hands-free operated boot lid, two 10.25-inch digital screens, ambient lighting with 64 colors, DAB+ digital radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging and remote engine start.
Mercedes’ Active Brake Assist with semi-autonomous braking function, Blind Spot Assist with exit warning assistant, Adaptive Highbeam Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Traffic Sign Assist and Pre-Safe accident anticipation system are standard.
