Ferrari is likely working on a hardcore, track-focused variant of the 812 Superfast and these renderings show just how mean such a car could look.
The 812’s predecessor, the F12 Berlinetta, was sent on its way after a successful production run with the limited-edition F12tdf and before that, the Ferrari 599 GTO was introduced. The 812-based successor could use either of these names or premiere another. Either way, it’s sure to be something special.
Modifications made to this example start at the front where the splitter has been extended and new flics are featured on either side. Three gills are also present on the lower portion of the front bumper ahead of the wheels. Speaking of the wheels, they are painted gold and look extraordinary. The most obvious upgrade made to the side of the car are new aerodynamic skirts.

Last, but certainly not least, is the rear where there is a more aggressive bumper complete with new grilles and a slightly edgier diffuser. A Formula One-inspired center taillight is also present.
Ferrari recently expanded the 812 Superfast family with the launch of the 812 GTS convertible so it’s hard to say when a GTO or tdf-badged model could arrive. The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta was launched in March 2012 and it took Ferrari until October 2015 to unveil the F12tdf. If we follow a similar timeline for the 812 Berlinetta, that means a hardcore variant could launch towards the end of 2020 as the standard model was revealed in March 2017.
