Feel like bidding on a one of a kind classic? Try this 1957 Chevrolet 150 two-door hardtop on for size. It was dubbed ‘Imagine’ by its builders, who brought it to last year’s SEMA Show where it won multiple awards.
Apart from its styling, the best part is, of course, the drivetrain. The car comes with a 515 cid (8.44-liter) Nelson Racing Chevy V8 with twin turbochargers, over 1,000 HP, a Bowler TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, front and rear independent suspension and four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes.
However, if you use racing fuel, the engine’s output could go all the way up to 1,800 HP, making this old Chevy potentially more powerful than a Bugatti Chiron. Not that it would drive as well, but it would sure go like a bat out of hell in a straight line.

It took more than 10 years to plan, design and build the ‘Imagine’. The artwork and design was penned by Jason Rushworth, and construction began at Johnny Martin’s custom shop in Alamosa, Colorado. Mods include cutting into the roof by 3 inches for a sleeker profile, flattening the hood, adding 19- and 21-inch one-piece custom wheels and loads more.
Inside, its makers claim that nothing is shared with another car. The interior is inspired by the original 1957 Chevy, yet still features hand-built bucket seats, a custom floor console, one-off custom gauges and a custom Evod steering wheel.
This is easily one of the sleekest and most stylish builds we’ve seen recently, and if you can really get 1,800 HP from it using racing fuel, then it is also probably one of the quickest, although when you own something that looks this nice, you probably don’t want to turn it into a drag strip dweller, do you?
The car will be auctioned off in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia through WorldWideAuctioneers on November 23 – that is, today. We have no estimate, but since it took over $2 million to build, we’re pretty sure it is going to fetch a pretty penny.
