Not many motorists would dare to make a run for it upon seeing this Audi RS4 Avant’s flashing emergency lights in the rearview mirror.
However, that won’t happen, as it’s not a real police car, despite looking like one. What we have here is the new vehicle for the ‘Tune It! Safe!’ campaign, which can be admired at the 2019 Essen Motor Show, from November 29 until December 8.

The most eye-catching element is obviously the German police livery, which was recreated in detail by Foliatec. The signaling equipment comes from Hella, whereas the rest of the work is signed by ABT. The tuner is responsible for the 102 mm (4 in) carbon tailpipes and 80 PS (79 hp / 60 kW) and 90 Nm (66 lb-ft) of torque bump in power.
With work on the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine completed, it now pumps out 530 PS (523 hp / 390 kW) and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque. There’s no saying how quick the RS4-R Avant is with ABT’s bundle of upgrades, but the standard car does the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 4.1 seconds and has a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph), or 280 km/h (174 mph) with the optional RS Dynamics Package installed. The revised suspension and visuals, inside and out, along with the 21-inch rims, round up the changes.
Last year, AC Schnitzer was responsible for the police-themed car, and they chose a BMW i8, giving it a new body kit, wheels and suspension, as well as some changes on the inside.
