ABT Sportsline is definitely on a roll, dropping new projects on a constant basis, like that impressive Audi A1 ‘1 of 1’ or, more recently, this SQ8.
Highlighted by Auditography in a video shot in the Austrian Alps that includes a few fast runs, the German SAC (Sports Activity Coupe) rocks a tuned 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 diesel. Courtesy of a few upgrades, it produces 520 PS (513 hp / 382 kW) and 970 Nm (715 lb-ft) of torque, rocketing it to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.45 seconds.

The stock SQ8, by comparison, puts out 435 PS (429 hp / 320 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque, directed to the Quattro all-wheel drive system through an 8-speed automatic transmission. Without any mods whatsoever, it does the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.8 seconds and tops out at 250 km/h (155 mph).
In addition to the extra muscle, the tuned SQ8 sits lower to the ground and rides on massive 23-inch wheels. The exterior is finished in a black shade, with only the top part of the side mirror caps having a grey look.
Now, as quick as this SQ8 is, if you want something even faster or simply don’t want to go for a tuned example, then you should wait for the RS Q8 to be launched. Tipped to debut next month, it will utilize the same 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 petrol unit as the Lamborghini Urus, albeit in a de-tuned state, probably making around 600 horsepower, so it does not step on its Italian cousin’s toes.
