Will Smith drove the futuristic Audi RSQ in “I, Robot” and now he’s getting an animated upgraded in the form of the RSQ e-tron.
Set to be featured in “Spies in Disguise,” the model is billed as the “the first concept car by Audi created exclusively for an animated film.”
The model was designed in cooperation with Blue Sky Studios and looks like a futuristic Audi R8. However, the car eschews the R8’s side scoops as the RSQ e-tron is fully electric.

The futuristic design continues in the cabin as the model has been equipped with a holographic instrument cluster that projects information in front of the driver. We can also see a windscreen infotainment system, a steering wheel with digital switchgear and a slender display that shows vehicle warning lights.
Just like the previous RSQ, the RSQ e-tron is fully autonomous. The model also has a “power boost” function that is similar to the S mode in the new e-tron Sportback. In that particular model, the two electric motors can generate a combined output of 402 hp (300 kW / 408 PS) and 490 lb-ft (664 Nm) of torque for up to eight seconds at a time.
“Spies in Disguise” hits U.S. theaters on December 25th and it is an animated spy comedy that stars Smith as Lance Sterling. He’s accompanied by scientist Walter Beckett (Tom Holland) who apparently transforms Sterling into a pigeon in an effort to save the world.
Besides Smith and Holland, the film stars Rashida Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, Reba McEntire, Rachel Brosnahan, Karen Gillan, DJ Khaled and Masi Oka.
