LGE-CTS injected the Ford Escape with a dose of adventure, creating the ‘Urban Escape’ display car for this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas.
The ‘Urban Escape’ is based on the 2020 Escape SEL AWD, which is powered by a 2.0-liter EcoBoost four paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The goal here was to create a more rugged all-around crossover for both urban and off-road environments, according to the tuner.

The show car comes with plenty of additional features, including a roof rack complete with skis and snowboards as well as Rigid Industries LED lights on the bumpers for better nighttime visibility. A set of gold 19-inch TSW wheels shod in 235/55 BF Goodrich Advantage T/A tires give the ‘Urban Escape’ more grip and make it look more aggressive.
LGT-CTS used Ford’s Lead Foot Gray color for the ‘Urban Explorer’ but with an added flare of gold pearl mixed in along with color changing graphics through the use of the Envirobase paint system.
In its stock form, the Ecoboost powertrain produces 250 HP and 275 lb-ft (372 Nm) of torque, with the tuner adding a Pedal Commander throttle control system for better throttle response and a custom Borla cat-back exhaust system with black chrome tips.
Finally, the cabin gets a new leather interior from Rogelio, an upgraded audio system from Scosche and plenty of lifestyle features, including Pelican accessory cases.
