Honda Vezel Modulo X Is A Sharpened Up HR-V For Japan

Japan’s Honda Vezel subcompact crossover, which we know as the H-RV in the rest of the world, is the latest model to get the Modulo X sporty treatment in Japan.

Available for the Vezel Touring and Vezel Hybrid models, the Modulo X package consists of exterior and interior styling upgrades as well as suspension tweaks. On the outside, the Honda Vezel Modulo X adopts several exclusive elements painted black including the grille, front bumper lip, side skirts, and rear bumper aero garnish.

According to the automaker, the bumper elements contribute to improved driving performance thanks to enhanced aerodynamics.

Also part of the Modulo X package are the exclusive LED fog lights and chrome exhaust finishers. Customers can have the Honda Vezel Modulo X in four exterior colors: Premium Crystal Blue Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Premium Crystal Red Metallic, and Crystal Black Pearl.

Inside, the model gains exclusive front heated sport seats with ergonomic surfaces which Honda claims are responsible for reducing fatigue on long trips. The seats feature leather bolsters, Luxe Suede seating surfaces and integrated headrests with ‘Modulo X’ embroidery. The rear seats feature a combination of Ultra Suede and synthetic leather. Rounding off the interior upgrades are the exclusive floor mats with Modulo X aluminum emblem.

The Honda Vezel Modulo X also brings an exclusive coil-over suspension said to deliver a sharper response during cornering as well as a high-quality and supple ride. The package also includes dedicated 17-inch (4WD models) and 18-inch (2WD models) dual-tone alloy wheels.

Sales in Japan begin on November 29 with prices starting from 3,467,200 yen ($31,630) for the hybrid model and 3,528,800 yen ($32,185) for the 172 PS (170 HP) 1.5-liter turbo-four.
