An Alabama police officer caught a brutal collision on dashcam, between a semi truck and a grey Toyota Corolla. The crash took place this past Friday in Bay Minette, and luckily, nobody was seriously injured.
We’re still struggling to imagine how somebody could be oblivious to a large semi truck about to cross their path in an open intersection with perfect all-round visibility. All the Toyota driver had to do was look left, then right and proceed accordingly.
The second they would have turned their head to the right, the semi would have come into view – it clearly was very close to the intersection since the collision happened so quickly after the Corolla began venturing forward.
All things considered, this crash could have been a heck of a lot worse had that semi impacted the passenger vehicle directly – same if the trailer’s rear wheels would have somehow crushed the car. Instead, the Corolla took a massive hit from the trailer’s rear axle, got spun around and bumped into that mail truck.

This incident is really similar to one that we showed you last year when the driver of a black Nissan Murano lost control and slid underneath a semi trailer. The angle of contact is pretty much identical and so is the damage, plus the way the crossover was spun around.
However, that Nissan driver couldn’t do anything to avoid the crash, whereas the person behind the wheel of this Corolla is uniquely responsible for what happened.
