Automakers test upcoming models in extreme conditions and they’re usually accompanied by an assortment of support vehicles. These are typically run-of-the-mill crossovers and sedans, but it appears Lamborghini has cooked up something special.
As you can see these spy photos, this heavily modified Urus is built for action as it has been equipped with a tubular front bumper and a Warn winch. Moving further back, there’s an eye-catching black and yellow paint job as well as matching two-tone wheels.
The crossover also sports a heavy duty roof rack with auxiliary lights and a retractable awning on the driver’s side. Other notable highlights include side mirror extensions and a tubular tire carrier that helps to protect the rear end.

Little else is known about the model, but it’s likely a one-off support vehicle that will accompany prototypes while they’re undergoing cold weather testing in Scandinavia and hot weather tests in the desert.
Assuming there haven’t been any mechanical changes, the Rescue Car is likely powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 641 hp (478 kW / 650 PS) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. It should be connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to a four-wheel drive system with a limited slip central differential. This setup enables the standard Urus to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.6 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 189 mph (305 km/h).
