Nissan’s 2019 SEMA Debuts Include A Beefed-Up Frontier, 370Z Racer And More

Nissan has arrived at this year’s 2019 SEMA Show with a wide range of debuts, from a competition-ready Global Time Attack TT 370Z race car, to a V8-powered Frontier Desert Runner. Novelties however also include a Kicks Street Sport crossover, as well as a 2020 Titan decked out in Genuine Nissan Accessories.

The 2019 SEMA Show is taking place November 5-8, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. If you want to head straight for Nissan, their Booth is #40257.

Nissan Frontier Desert Runner

This bespoke Frontier Desert Runner was modified by extreme performance specialists at MA Motorsports, working alongside the Nissan Motorsports team.

The first thing they did was replacing the factory 4.0-liter V6 engine with a 5.6-liter Endurance V8 from a Titan full-size pickup. Then they added a Gerrett GTX3584RS turbocharger, a custom intercooler, Jim Wolf Technology camshafts, pistons and valves, and MA Motorsports custom turbo header and exhaust system. The result: over 600 HP and 700 lb-ft (950 Nm) of torque.

The V8 engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with Jim Wolf Technology clutch and lightweight flywheel.

Then there’s the suspension which includes a BTF Fabrication long travel kit, King Racing Triple Bypass front shocks and coil-overs, rear King Racing Triple Bypass shocks and Giant Motorsports Link Killer rear leaf springs. The truck sits on Fifteen52 TurboMac HD wheels and 37-inch BFGoodrich Baja T/A tires, while the shock hoops, engine cage and bed cage came courtesy of MA Motorsports.

Other visual changes include the Fiberworx Pre Runner fenders, new front and rear bumpers, custom spare tire carrier and a body wrap.

As for the interior, there’s a custom harness bar, Sparco harnesses, racing seats and steering wheel (with quick-release adapter).

Nissan Kicks Street Sport

For this project, Nissan Motorsports again teamed up with MA Motorsports to create the ultimate Kicks crossover. It boasts an oversized front air dam, rear roof spoiler and side skirts, wider fender flares, Volk Racing TE37V wheels with 245/45R17 tires, plus a custom suspension built using a combination of NISMO/Ohlins coil-over shock absorbers.

For the engine, a custom turbocharger kit was added to the 1.6-liter four-pot, to go with the Turbosmart diverter valve, custom NISMO exhaust and UPREV ECU.

Last but not least, there are Sparco SPX carbon bucket seats, a custom interior upholstery and a body wrap with custom graphics.

Nissan Global Time Attack TT 370Z

Meet a 750-plus horsepower 370Z, built to compete in the 2020 Time Attack racing season.

Its journey started way back when it was a stripped, acid-dipped 370Z unibody. It was then fitted with a full roll cage, while the exterior gained a full custom carbon fiber aero package, with a 3D front splitter, rear diffuser and sideboards.

Its stock VQ series 3.7-liter V6 engine was fitted with Garrett GTX 3076 turbochargers, new fuel management and electronics systems, a Z1 Motorsports race exhaust, HGT Precision 6-speed sequential gearbox, Tilton custom clutch and a NISMO GT-R Pro 1.5 differential.

In order for it to cope with vicious time attack sessions, the car also gained a custom Brembo brake system, NISMO radiator and multiple oil, transmission and differential cooling systems, plus a completely custom-built steering system.

Inside, there’s a single OMP HRC-R Carbon Air FIA race seat, quick release steering wheel, NISMO Competition Race Harness and safety nets.

2020 Nissan Titan with Genuine Nissan Accessories

After its unveiling at the State Fair of Texas back in late September, the 2020 Nissan Titan has made the journey to SEMA in order to showcase a wide range of Genuine Nissan Accessories.

These include all season floor mats, rear bumper step assist, sliding bed extender, tie-down cleats, assist handle (tailgate access), mud flaps, sport bar with off-road lights and light covers, illuminated kick plates, door scuff protector, rugged step boards, marker lights for fenders and grille, plus a 4-inch drop hitch ball mount.
