Available from £36,995 ($47,458/€43,053), the Forester e-Boxer XE Premium offers more equipment, including 18-inch alloy wheels with a new pattern, privacy rear glass, sunroof and power tailgate. This version also brings a satellite navigation system, leather seats and heated steering wheel and second-row.

Both versions of the SUV are powered by a 2.0-liter engine and a small electric motor mounted in the transmission. The ICE variant develops 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW) and 194 Nm (143 lb-ft) of torque, whereas the electric motor adds 16 PS (16 hp / 12 kW) and 65 Nm (48 lb-ft). It comes with Symmetrical All-Wheel drive and offers three driving modes: EV, Motor Assist and Engine.

The first one lets you enjoy zero emissions for about 1.6 km (1 mile) at speeds of up to 40 km/h (25 mph), while the second one combines the two units for improved power and performance. The third one uses the ICE power solely. Those holding the wheel can also choose from two more driving modes called Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud by using the dial switch.
