Subaru isn’t ready to drop the current generation Levorg just yet, despite the fact that an all-new model was previewed last month at the Tokyo Motor Show.
In fact, the automaker has announced the Levorg 2.0GT Eyesight V-Sport special edition model, which brings enhanced styling and equipment. Available exclusively in the Japanese market, it will arrive in dealerships on January 23, 2020, and is based on the 2.0GT-S EyeSight grade .
This means it’s powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged Boxer engine making 300 PS (296 HP) at 5,600 rpm and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque at 2,000 – 4,800 rpm. As the name suggests, the Levorg 2.0GT Eyesight V-Sport also comes with the EyeSight Safety Plus suite of driving assistance systems that includes high beam assist and Subaru rear vehicle detection.

However, the most visible upgrades regard the design of the V-Sport model, which gains black 18-inch aluminum wheels, mirror caps, as well as rear “Levorg” lettering and “Symmetrical AWD” logo.
Inside, the special edition Levorg features front sports seats with fabric upholstery, a leather wrapped steering wheel with silver stitching, as well as piano black and chrome trim. As with the variant it’s based on, it sports Bilstein dampers, ventilated disc brakes and 225/45 R18 tires.
Prices for the Subaru Levorg 2.0GT Eyesight V-Sport start from 3,150,000 yen ($28,900). Those who’d prefer the next-generation Levorg will have to wait a bit, as it will launch in Japan in the second half of 2020. It will be based on the Subaru Global Platform and will debut an all-new 1.8-liter Boxer engine and the next-gen EyeSight safety tech.
