Toyota prepped a wide variety of 2020 GR Supra prototypes for the 2019 SEMA show either on its own or by teaming up with different aftermarket companies.
All in all, it brought along five different concept at the Las Vegas Convention Center that are sure to give tuners ideas on what parts they should offer for the Japanese sports car with the German DNA.
To make it a bit more interesting, it’s also holding the “GRudge Match” for the most popular build. See them in detail below and tell us which one gets your vote.
2020 Toyota GR Supra 3000GT Concept
One of the most striking of the whole batch is the GR Supra 3000GT Concept. Inspired by the original TRD3000GT, a wide body kit made for the Supra in 1994 that was released to celebrate the car’s success in the All-Japan Grand Touring Car Championship, it makes the coupe look a lot more aggressive.
It includes hood and wing modeled after the original, as well as fender flares, reshaped bumpers and a big rear diffuser. The Supra is finished in silver, adorned with yellow vinyl, and rocks adjustable coilovers, custom exhaust system, Brembo brakes and 19-inch wheels.
The interior has welcomed bucket seats approved by FIA and a Pioneer sound system to boost the mood.
2020 Toyota GR Supra HyberBoost Edition 750HP
While the 3000GT is all show with no extra-go, the GR Supra HyperBoost Edition boasts more than double the original output. Built by NASCAR analyst and broadcast personality Rutledge Wood’s team, it has 750 horsepower, Brembo brakes and KW adjustable coilovers.
Making its presence more felt is the carbon fiber body kit that uses the original mounting points. Furthermore, the stock metal roof has been replaced by a carbon fiber panel, the whole car has been finished in Cement Grey paint and the look is completed by the 10×20-inch front and 12×20-inch rear wheels, with carbon fiber lips, shod in 285/30 and 335/25 Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires.
2020 Toyota GR Supra Wasabi Concept
The greenest of A90 Supras in Las Vegas is the Wasabi Concept. It was made by the Toyota Genuine Accessory Team, gets a custom body kit, mid-mounted exhaust tips and 10×20-inch front and 11×20-inch rear wheels with 275/30 and 305/30 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Stopping power comes from the upgraded Brembo brakes, whereas the ride height adjustability is signed by Ohlins and includes the adjustable coilovers, as well as the strut tower brace that stiffens up the chassis.
2020 Toyota GR Supra Heritage Edition 500hp
Inspired by the Mk4 generation, the GR Supra Heritage Edition has Toyota VP of Marketing Ed Laukes behind it and features custom headlights and taillights, integrated front splitter, large rear wing and diffuser. Finished in a vibrant color dubbed ‘Re-Entry Red’, it sits on 10.5×19-inch front and 11×19-inch rear wheels from HRE, wrapped in Toyo’s 295/30 and 305/30 rubber, respectively.
Further upgrades have liberated over 500 hp from the engine. Elsewhere, the GR Supra Heritage Edition comes with central-mounted exhaust tips, Brembo brakes and adjustable coilovers.
2020 Toyota GR Supra Performance Line Concept
Another Supra fitted with a carbon fiber body kit is the GR Supra Performance Line Concept, made by the Toyota Customizing and Development (TCD) team. Each part either improves the airflow or increases downforce and is joined by the 19-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires wrapped around them.
Toyota said that the sound has been improved by the custom exhaust system, whereas the racing seats round up the list of upgrades.
