We’re Driving A Suzuki Jimny, What Do You Want To Know?

It’s not very often that an affordable car comes along and captures the hearts of enthusiasts across the globe. The new Suzuki Jimny is one of the rare few that has.

Unveiled in its newest form in mid-2018, the latest-generation Jimny has been extremely well received, thanks largely to its cute exterior design and in some markets, it even sold out for 2019. Sure, it may have failed the moose test and isn’t particularly safe but it sure is capable when taken on an off-road adventure. Later this week, we’ll get the keys to a new Jimny and will put it to the test in a variety of situations.

From what we’ve heard, the Jimny isn’t all that practical to use on a daily basis. This is hardly surprising when you consider its tiny 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine offers up just 101 hp and 96 lb-ft (130 Nm) of torque. When the pavement turns to gravel is where the Jimny is really meant to come into its own.
