For the very first time, the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has been snapped in Accelerate Yellow, a new color added to the range.
This very brief video was posted online by the Corvette Museum and comes four months after the new Corvette was unveiled. Prior to the release of this clip, the mid-engined C8 Corvette had been pictured or filmed in all of the 11 other available color options.
At only three seconds long, this isn’t the most detailed video. Nevertheless, we’re able to see the color under the sun. What do we think? It’s not to our taste. The color certainly has a hint of green to it and isn’t just yellow. In fact, it looks very much like a bright yellow highlighter. We’ll let you be the judge of whether or not that’s a good thing.

Unfortunately for Corvette enthusiasts and buyers alike, it will likely be some time before we see C8 Corvettes hitting the streets in large numbers.
Earlier this month, Chevrolet revealed that the six-week UAW strike at GM plants means production of customer-ordered cars won’t start until February 2020 or the beginning of March. There’s a possibility that the Corvette Convertible’s arrival will also be pushed back for the same reason.
In all likelihood, Chevrolet won’t be too concerned with the delay. The new Corvette, with its $59,995 starting price, is thought to have already attracted lots of customers and will likely prove a huge success for the company.
