Cadillac is shedding more light into the new CT4’s range as the new compact sedan is getting ready to hit the market.

The new Cadillac CT4 will be available in Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport and V-Series trims. Each one will be visually distinct, in addition to the traditional variations in standard equipment and powertrain choices.

The base CT4 Luxury will be available only in the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which produces 237 HP and 258 lb-ft of torque. It is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive is standard, with AWD offered as an option.

Luxury models ride on 17-inch alloy wheels and come fitted with plenty of kit from the get-go, including keyless entry and push-button start, an eight-inch infotainment with HD Radio, SiriusXM, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone automatic air-conditioning, leatherette upholstery and a premium audio system with active noise cancellation.

Moving on to the Premium Luxury trim, you get 18-inch alloys and bright-accented door handles and can also opt for the 2.7-liter turbo unit with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The engine is rated at 309 HP and 348 lb-ft of torque and all-wheel drive is again optional.

Premium Luxury models come with leather upholstery, aluminum trim on the center console, ambient lighting, and a suite of active safety systems that includes Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Automatic Emergency Braking, Safety Seat Alert, Rear Park Assist and more.

Sport models are visually distinguished by their dark-mesh front grille, dark window moldings, 18-inch Performance-themed alloy wheels, a body-colored rear spoiler and Brembo brakes.

Step inside the Cadillac CT4 Sport and you’ll find more aggressive-bolstered seats with additional adjustments, leatherette upholstery, a steering wheel with a thicker rim, magnesium paddle shifters and alloy pedals.

The range-topping trim for the 2020 Cadillac CT4 is the V-Series (at least for now); this is the only model available with the high-output version of the 2.7-liter turbo engine that puts out 325 HP and 380 lb-ft of torque.

The CT4 V-Series also gets a Carbon Flash dark surround for the front grille, quad trapezoid exhaust tips, a mechanical limited-slip differential and Cadillac’s Gen4 Magnetic Ride Control (on RWD models only).

The interior of the CT4 V-Series gets a Bose premium surround sound system, a special ‘V-mode’ button on the steering, a Track mode and wireless charging.

All 2020 Cadillac CT4s will be optionally available with the company’s SuperCruise driving assist feature, which enables drivers to take their hands off the wheel on a range of occasions. Cadillac will open the order books for the 2020 CT4 later this year.
