Genesis’ restyled 2020 G90 luxury sedan finally found its way into the United States and we can now take a proper good look at it thanks to a more detailed photo gallery.
The Korean luxury brand’s flagship has undergone a major overhaul for the 2020 model year and “facelift” would probably be too weak a word to describe the changes that have taken place. Styling-wise, the 2020 Genesis G90 looks much more assertive than the previous model.
That’s thanks to the enlarged hexagonal grille, the sleeker headlights “pierced” by LED DRLs, a classy alloy wheel design that matches the grille’s “filling,” front fender trim, and a completely different rear end that adopts horizontal LED taillights connected by an illuminated bar.

Subtle yet effective changes have taken place inside, with the 2020 Genesis G90 looking more premium and high-tech than before. This impression is mostly due to the re-engineered 12.3-inch central touch screen that incorporates a new Graphic User Interface (GUI) and is compatible with both Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
New materials have found their way inside too, including quilted Nappa leather, new contrast piping for the leather-wrapped dashboard, higher-quality switchgear, and Natura wood trim with an exposed grain texture.
Beyond what the eyes can see, the 2020 Genesis G90’s interior is claimed to be a more serene environment thanks to the addition of special sound-absorbing materials throughout the cabin and sub-structure of the car, laminated glass on all windows and a new standard Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) system.
On the tech front, the new Korean flagship offers an array of standard features including Lane Follow Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Assist, and Highway Driving Assist.
U.S. customers can choose between two powertrains: a 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 shared with the G70 sports sedan and a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8. The former unit delivers 365 HP (370 PS) and 376 lb-ft (509 Nm) of torque and is offered in RWD configuration as standard (AWD is available as an option).
The eight-cylinder engine delivers 420 HP (426 PS) and 383 lb-ft (519 Nm) of torque and is linked to a standard eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. U.S. sales start in December 2019 and prices will be announced closer to launch.
