This is the 2020 Jaguar XE Reims Edition, unveiled in the UK as a homage to the D-Type’s maiden victory in 1954 at the 12-hours of Reims driven by Ken Wharton and Peter Whitehead.
The most striking aspect of the XE Reims Edition is the paint, dubbed French Racing Blue. This color has previously adorned other limited-edition Jaguar models including the XKR-S and XFR-S and makes a return on this XE variant. Contrasting the blue paint are a number of gloss black components including the roof, mirror caps, sill inserts and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Compelling Package: Is The 2020 Jaguar XE Worth Choosing Over The German Establishment?
Elsewhere, the XE Reims Edition comes equipped with some features that are usually optional extras. For example, there is privacy glass and the exterior Black Pack that sees gloss black applied to the grille and grille surround, side window surrounds, and side air vents. The Black Pack also adds heated seats, badge deletion, and the Cold Climate pack complete with a heated windscreen, heated steering wheel, and headlight washers.
Production will be capped to just 200 units exclusively for the UK market, each of which comes standard with the company’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder P250 engine delivering 246 HP and available across a number of Jaguar models. In this application, the powertrain is the R-Dynamic S variant and sends power through all four wheels. Among the interior options that come standard include Apple CarPlay, a rear parking camera, and front parking aids.
The new XE Reims Edition is available at Jaguar dealerships for £38,295 (US$50,292.)
