The offerings in the compact luxury SUV segment are very generous. You get vehicles such as the Acura RDX, Cadillac XT6 and Volvo XC60, as well as the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC. Lincoln’s proposal is the Corsair, which replaces the old MKC.
Presented earlier this year at the New York Auto Show, it borrows exterior design cues from the Aviator and Navigator, mixing them together in a youthful manner and sprinkling them with a luxurious cabin fitted with everything a 21st century driver needs.

Things such as keyless entry and push-button start, leather-wrapped steering wheel and many others are all standard, although you may want to upgrade should you want even more gear and, why not, an all-wheel drive system. Be careful with the extras, though, as from the base MSRP of $35,945, you can quickly exceed the $60,000 mark.
The engine lineup includes the 2.0-liter unit, with 250 hp and 275 lb-ft (373 Nm) of torque, and the 2.3-liter mill that pushes out 280 hp and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque. Both are hooked up to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and while on paper that’s not that big of a difference in terms of power, you may want to choose the latter, which offers quicker acceleration, although with laggy pull-offs.
