Did you buy a new Toyota Supra, BMW Z4 or 3-Series this year in the United States? Well, then, don’t go anywhere, because this news might concern you.
Communicated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recall includes 245 units of the aforementioned cars, and all of them are believed to have a headlight issue.

In the Description of the Defect, the agency states that “certain left and/or right headlamp[s] may experience a loss of function”. This is due to potentially affected control units’ printed circuit board (PCB), as “during an alignment process of the PCBs, a centering pin may have inadvertently contained foreign object debris”. This issue affects headlight illumination and turn-signal function, which increases the risk of having an accident. Should your car experience this, then you will be alerted by a message in the instrument cluster.
There are 177 Toyota Supras included in this safety campaign, which were made between July 15 and 25, 2019. 37 units of the Z4 sDrive30i and M40i, produced from July 16 and August 20, 2019, are also included, along with 31 examples of the 330i and 330i xDrive, made between July 22 and October 18, 2019.
Owners of these cars will be notified by First Class mail and instructed to take them to an authorized dealer for the remedy. Those who have already fixed their vehicles will not be reimbursed, as it would have been covered by the warranty. The recall is expected to start on January 17, 2020.
