The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss is arguably the most desirable road car from the German automaker released in the last decade and now one of just 75 examples built is looking for a new home courtesy of James Edition.
Located in Dubai, this particular Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss has only ever had one owner and only has 315 miles (507 km) on the clock. It has spent most of its life in Germany and was used for a Hermes PaketShop commercial filmed in Barcelona where it was driven by two-time F1 world champion Mika Hakkinen.

According to the listing, the car is being sold with two tonneau covers, driver goggles, and all other factory accessories. It has also been serviced and maintained over the years despite rarely being driven. Like the vast majority of other SLR McLaren Stirling Moss examples around the world, this one is painted silver with a red leather interior. There are a handful of other examples out there painted white and black and it’s understood that there is at least one red Stirling Moss hidden away somewhere.
In case you didn’t already know, the car got its name from the great Sir Stirling Moss whose win in a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR at the 1955 Mille Miglia is regarded as one of the greatest victories in the history of motorsport. Powering the SLR McLaren Stirling Moss is a 5.5-liter supercharged V8 engine churning out 641 hp through the rear wheels.
When introduced, the car had a starting price of around $1 million. This example is listed with a cool $2.55 million price tag.
