Rolls-Royce Marks 115 years of automotive luxury with a spectacular Bespoke Red Phantom commission.
First teased in May at the Sotheby’s Galleries in New York City, the Red Phantom be offered at an exclusive online auction launching December 4 and ending December 13. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the (RED) global charity and its fight to end AIDS.
Styled by Bespoke Design Collective in Goodwood, England, the one-off Phantom features a special Crystal over Magma Red exterior with particles of crystal captured in the final layers of finish. The finish consists of five layers, each hand-polished for more than five hours.

Inside, the unique Phantom‘s handcrafted Bespoke leather interior features a color scheme of Arctic White with Mugello Red highlights. Rolls-Royce used 9 hides of hand-selected and drum-dyed leather to create this interior. Highlights also include the wood veneers finished by hand with six coats of lacquer and the Mugello Red Shooting Starlight Headliner with 1,600 fiber optic lights extending the entire length of the interior.
The Gallery on the dashboard features a Bespoke Mugello Red leather design entitled ‘Regatta Sails’ assembled in a clean room environment. Red leather also covers the steering wheel and the stalks, and can also be found throughout the lavish cabin. Rounding off the changes are the custom tread plates celebrating the 115th Anniversary of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
The Bespoke Phantom will be unveiled at a gala event at the One Thousand Museum in Miami on December 4, when Sotheby’s and RM Sotheby’s will launch the exclusive online auction.
The winning bidder will have the opportunity to collaborate with contemporary artist Mickalene Thomas, who will create a custom wrap for the exterior based on an original work of art inspired by the Red Phantom for the collector.
