The Ferrari SF90 Stradale has just landed in Australia with a starting price of AU$846,888 (US$583,006) including on-road costs. That’s a lot of money but when you consider the performance offered by the Italian marque’s flagship hybrid supercar, it’s not that bad.

Down Under, those in the market for a Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster, for example, will need to shell out at least AU$825,530 (US$568,303) plus on-road costs and the Raging Bull’s performance is a step below that of the SF90 Stradale.

Powering the potent Ferrari is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 pumping out 769 HP and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. The SF90 Stradale also sports one electric motor mounted between the V8 and the new eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission as well as two other motors at the front axle to deliver a combined 986 HP.

Speaking with Motoring at the car’s local launch, acting Ferrari Japan and Australasia Ferrari chief executive Dieter Knechtel said the SF90 Stradale will be available to anyone who can afford it, not just those who already have large Ferrari collections.

“For sure it is for pure Ferrarista, but it’s not only for our existing clients and performance freaks. We think it will bring people to Ferrari for the first time – buyers who want the extreme in design and the best in the segment, the best of everything,” he said.

Australia buyers can, for AU$111,306 (US$76,624), order their SF90 Stradale’s with the available Assetto Fiorano track-focused package that adds a higher downforce rear wing, track optimized suspension with titanium coil springs, Lexan windows, and a plethora of carbon fiber parts that shave off 30 kg (66 lbs).

Local deliveries are scheduled to kick off late in the second half of 2020.
