The Ferrari FXX is one of the most remarkable cars ever sold by the Italian firm to customers but unfortunately for us mere mortals, it is exceptionally limited and extraordinarily expensive. For one enthusiast over in Russia, however, the FXX served as the perfect inspiration a for an ambitious project.

The vehicle you’re looking at may share some minor resemblance to the FXX but it isn’t the real thing and is actually a 1991 Nissan 300ZX adorned with unique bodywork to mimic the exterior look of the FXX.

Obviously, the 300ZX is front-engined while the FXX is mid-engined so this means the replica’s proportions are all out of whack. Nonetheless, the builder has done a reasonable (okay, some might say laughable) job of replicating the look of the Ferrari with a bold new front fascia with small circular headlights. At the rear, there are also quad tailpipes where you’d ordinarily expect to see taillights on a street car. However, because the FXX isn’t street legal, Ferrari was able to ditch the taillights.

We’ve got no doubt that the owner spent quite a lot of time making the car’s bodykit. Unfortunately, it appears as though the Nissan hasn’t been taken care of as the engine bay is covered in a thick layer of dust and mud and much of the interior has been stripped out.

The car, listed on Avito, has an asking price of 300,000 Russian Ruble which is the equivalent of about US$4,820. If you ask us, that’s about $4,819 too much.
