Holden has released two “Storm” special edition models in Australia for the Colorado pickup and Trailblazer SUV.

Already available to order, the Holden Colorado Storm and Trailblazer Storm bring several styling and functional upgrades. Both models come with a standard LED light bar attached on top of a black nudge bar that’s also part of the package.

This is where the similarities end, as the Colorado Storm also features a black sports bar in the truck bed, black roof rails, a bonnet protector, unique ‘Storm’ side decals, and a soft drop tailgate. The Trailblazer Storm, on the other hand, gets a body color rear spoiler, a rear sports fascia, unique ‘Storm’ badge on the front doors, and ‘Trailblazer’ bonnet lettering.

“Holden has tuned the Colorado and Trailblazer locally to stand up to the toughest regional and rural roads in Australia,” said Jeremy Tassone, Holden Vehicle Development Engineer.

“We were excited about adding the LED light bar, which significantly improves visibility at night, particularly in outer-suburban and rural areas, where wildlife and other road hazards are more common. The LED light bar throws out a more intense beam of light than a standard high beam, providing real benefit,” added Andre Scott, General Manager Holden LCV Marketing.

The Storm package adds AU$2,000 (US$1,370) more to the price of the LTZ trim and Holden says that’s a good deal since the Colorado Storm and Trailblazer Storm bring AU$4,800 (US$3,285) and AU$3,400 (US$2,325) in added content, respectively.

The Holden Colorado Storm is priced from AU$53,990 (US$36,950) while the Holden Trailblazer Storm starts at AU$54,990 (US$37,630) – both with automatic transmissions. Both limited edition models are eligible for Holden’s recently introduced seven years’ free scheduled servicing. The offer is valid for any vehicles ordered before December 31, 2019.
