Jannarelly Automotive is launching the Design-1 in the UK market, with the retro-styled sports car priced from £86,000.
The Dubai-based company will offer customers the choice between three bodystyles – Roadster, Coupe and Aero – as well as “incredible levels of customization” to truly bring the Design-1 to their exact taste. Production will be limited to 499 examples.
Jannarelly is even going to offer the option between composite or carbon-fiber bodywork, with the Design-1 sitting on a lightweight tubular spaceframe chassis; in fact the company targets a weight figure of just 850 kg (1,873 lbs).

Power comes from a Nissan-sourced naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 that produces 325 HP and 273 lb-ft (371 Nm) of torque, sent to a rear limited-slip differential via a six-speed manual transmission. 0-62 mph (100 km/h) will come in under 4 seconds while top speed is set at 135 mph (217 km/h).
The Design-1 features a rather attractive shape, particularly in the Coupe bodystyle you see in the pictures, inspired by some of the most iconic sports cars of the 1960s. Anthony Jannarelly is the man who penned hypercars like the Fenyr SuperSport and the Lykan HyperSport, but his new project takes a much simpler approach towards driving fun.
“We are working tirelessly to expand our representation into multiple markets and since we launched the car we have known that the UK has one of the world’s most engaged and enthusiastic markets for our car,” said Jannarelly. “We are therefore delighted to have a demonstrator available in London so we can show potential customers the Design-1 and everything it has to offer.”
