MS-RT’s R185 Ford Transit Custom Is All Show And No Go, Will Still Cost You £37,995

For £22,295 ($29,286/€26,401), excluding tax, you can get a base 2019 Ford Transit Custom, whereas £47,000 ($61,739/€55,655) is the MSRP of the Transit Custom Nugget camper van in the UK.

Now, should you desire a people carrier that looks fast and comes in a limited edition, then MS-RT might have just the right set of wheels for you. It’s called the R185, comes in only 40 examples and has a starting price of £37,995 ($49,910/€44,992), excluding tax.

The vehicle builds on the Transit Custom DCIV 5-seat double-cab, can be had in short and long wheelbase variants, comes with a choice of either a manual or automatic transmission, and has a go-fast look that’s hard to match in this segment.

Available in solely in Slate Grey, which comes from Ford’s special vehicle department, it’s adorned with red and black decals. It also boasts a unique grille with more red accents, glossy black exhaust tips and sits on glossy black OZ Racing 18-inch wheels.

The leather interior with red stitching and carbon fiber steering wheel with red center line round up the changes in the design department.

Technical features include the Maxhaust fake engine noise generator, 230v power inverter, reversing camera and several driving assist systems, such as adaptive cruise control.
