Overfinch is one of the best known specialists when it comes to Land Rover and Range Rover models, and their latest bespoke creation certainly is worthy of the hype.
The specific Defender 90 was commissioned by a collector and is finished in deep Emerald Green with Overfinch’s Signature contrast bonnet and SVX front grille, plus a set of 18-inch alloy wheels.

The short-wheelbase Defender was stripped down and rebuilt to a two-seater configuration, with Overfinch converting the rear load space with marine-grade teak wood and a lockable storage box. A new removable soft top cover that clips onto a custom roll cage has also been added.
The rest of the cabin has been similarly overhauled with a full extended leather interior and a pair of Recaro sports seats dressed in Emerald and Tan leather is present, sporting contrast stitching, as does the dashboard and custom center console. Overfinch even replaced components such as door handles, gear selector, handbrake, pedals and instrument dials with its own parts that feature fine knurled chrome.
However, the biggest hardware change is hiding under the bonnet; Overfinch has installed a GM-sourced, 6.2-liter V8 engine paired to an automatic transmission. Although the specialist didn’t mention any figures, it’s safe to expect close to 450 HP from the powertrain, which is more than enough for a short Defender. Top speed is limited to 110 mph (177 km/h) – which, given the old Defender on-road manners, is probably a wise move.
As you might have guessed already, this isn’t an affordable re-imagination of the British off-roader, as Overfinch is asking £239,990 (around $320k in current exchange rates). Is it worth it? For the person that commissioned the build, it most definitely is.
