Aside from its impressive straight-line acceleration, the Polestar 2 is also able to wow customers with its practicality, such as the easy access rear luggage compartment or the braked towing capacity of 1,500 kg (3,306 lbs).
This, according to the automaker, makes the ‘2’ a leader in the compact electric segment, as far as towing capacity is concerned. As for pricing, the optional electric folding tow bar will set you back 1,100 euros ($1,222) in Germany.
Pricing in Belgium and the Netherlands is the same as in Germany, while Swedish and Norwegian buyers will have to spend SEK 13,000 ($1,382) and NOK 13,000 ($1,439) respectively. Meanwhile, the tow bar costs £1,000 ($1,307) in the UK. These prices include fitting as well as various taxes.

The ‘2’ also comes with a combined 440 liters (15.5 cu.ft) of luggage space (rear and front), while an accessory roof rack can support another 75 kg (165 lbs) of weight if you’re keen on transporting stuff – such as mountain bikes.
“Polestar 2 is an electric performance fastback that supports an active lifestyle. It adapts to your needs; it is truly flexible,” said the company’s CEO, Thomas Ingenlath. “We know our customers value this flexibility and something especially relevant to tomorrow’s EV buyers – a distinct lack of compromise.”
Thanks to a digital retail model, all Polestar vehicles can be purchased online. Prices start from €58,800 ($64,460) in Germany, while UK buyers will spend upwards of £49,900. Meanwhile, North American pricing for the Polestar 2 is estimated at $63,000, though a finalized number will be presented at a later date.
