Next year, the PSA Group will begin offering electrified versions of all of their new and revamped gasoline models built at the Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile joint venture in China.
First up is the all-new Peugeot 2008, which will go on sale featuring a fully electric variant, followed by the retooled Peugeot 4008 and Citroen C5 Aircross, getting plug-in hybrid variants come 2020, as reported by Autonews Europe.
According to Dongfeng Motor Group, the automaker’s full product line will feature electrified options by the year 2023 in China.

The PSA-Dongfeng joint venture was established in 1992 as a 50-50 partnership, producing and marketing vehicles for both the Peugeot and Citroen brand. It is one of two 50-50 partnerships signed by PSA, along with the automaker’s Changan deal, which focuses on building gasoline DS-branded vehicles.
However, Changan PSA hasn’t been very successful as far as sales are concerned since going into business back in 2011. Last month, The PSA Group confirmed that it would put an end to this joint venture, although DS production will endure, just not with Changan.
But back to the all-electric Peugeot 2008 – it features the e-2008 designation and is powered by a 136 HP electric motor working the front wheels, with help from a 50 kWh battery pack that supports 100 kW fast charging. The French automaker is claiming a range of 193 miles (310 km) in the WLTP test cycle.
Connect it to the fast charger and you can get 100 miles of range (161 km) in roughly 20 minutes of plugging it in. A 7 kW socket meanwhile will keep you waiting all night.
