Shocking dashcam footage has surfaced showing the moment a car spectacularly rolled after a collision on a highway in Toronto, Canada.
The incident reportedly occurred on Highway 427 on November 14 and according to the description, allegedly involved a drunk driver (predictable.) Fortunately, no one was killed.
At the 9-second mark of the video, the cammer is aggressively side-swiped by a light green sedan. The force of this impact sends the green sedan skyward where it rolls onto its roof, hits a crash barrier, and slides hundreds of feet down the highway.
Alcohol And Driving Don’t Mix: Woman Hits Red Light Runner And Saves Pedestrians From Alleged Drunk Driver
The impact sent the cammer’s car off to the right where it narrowly avoided slamming head-on into a crash barrier and came to a rest along an exit ramp.
It’s impossible to say why the driver of the green sedan turned sharply into the cammer, triggering the shocking crash. Due to the alcohol in the driver’s system, we suspect that they themselves don’t even know what happened in the moments before the crash.
Importantly, it is noted that the drunk driver was arrested and charged at the scene. It remains to be seen what will happen to the driver but we think it’d only be fair if they are ordered to pay for all damage done to the cammer’s car (if they don’t have comprehensive insurance) while also being issued a driving ban.
Operating a vehicle, whether it be a car, truck, or even a motorcycle while under the effect of alcohol is extremely foolish and something fitting of serious punishment.
