A second trailer for The Grand Tour’s upcoming ‘Seamen’ special has been released before the episode launches on Amazon Prime this Friday, December 13.
We were provided with our first glimpse of the epic special late last month and it promises to be quite the epic adventure for Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond.
In the first special of season 4, the trio have ditched cars in favor of three boats that they will use to cross the Mekong Delta in south-western Vietnam. This clip shows the three boats selected by the presenters and as is typically the case, they have very different opinions about who has made the right choice.
Another Special: Clarkson Says The Grand Tour Scrapped Middle East Roadtrip Plans Over Safety Concerns
The boat selected by Hammond is a Scarab powered by a pair of V8 engines delivering a combined 850 hp. As Clarkson notes, it would be the perfect machine to use in Miami but perhaps wasn’t the wisest choice for this part of the world. Clarkson’s boat of choice is equally as bold and known as a PBR (Patrol Boat, Riverine), once used during the Vietnam War. It features two V8s with 700 hp. Last but not least is James May, who shows up in a wooden boat that’s likely massively underpowered and Clarkson says is “the most inappropriate thing” he has ever seen.
Unlike the first three seasons of The Grand Tour, season 4 has ditched the familiar Top Gear-style format in favor of nothing but big adventures.
