Nissan has released pricing information of its best-selling car in the States, the Sentra, that has been completely redesigned for the 2020MY.
The compact sedan that will arrive in dealerships in a little over a month, on January 28, will offer three trim levels named S, SV and SR, with MSRPs starting at $19,090, $20,270 and $21,430, respectively, excluding a $925 destination and handling fee.
By comparison, the outgoing Sentra S will set you back $17,990, whereas the SV and SR cost $19,290 and $20,790, respectively. The 2019MY is also available in the SR Turbo, SL and Nismo versions, so the new Sentra’s lineup will likely expand in the near future.

Specs and details of each grade will be announced in due course, but the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of driver safety systems is standard across the range. This includes the Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Automatic Braking and High Beam Assist, joined by the Intelligent Driver Alertness and Rear Door Alert.
The 2020 Sentra is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that churns out 149 horsepower (151 PS / 111 kW) and 146 pound-feet (198 Nm) of torque, up 20 and 17 percent, respectively, over its predecessor. The independent rear suspension is also new, as are the dual-pinion rack electric power steering system and Nissan Intelligent Control technology.
The compact sedan is new inside and out, boasting the company’s signature V-motion grille and slim LED headlights, inspired by the Altima and Maxima, as well as new cabin layout, complete with leather trim, heated front seats, 8-inch infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
