For most, the Lamborghini Huracan Performante is more than enough car to get their adrenaline pumping. For the owner of this particular example, they thought a good way to make the hardcore Lamborghini even more exhilarating would be to fit it with a supercharger. This is the result.
This clip from the Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds where the Italian exotic was recently taken on a high-speed run doesn’t specify just how much power this Huracan is sending to the pavement. However, with a relatively tame supercharger package, we’d expect it to be pumping out between 700 hp and 800 hp. As a reminder, the naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter V10 of the standard Huracan Performante is good for 631 hp.
Brothers Go To War: Can The Lamborghini Huracan Performante Outperform The Aventador SV?
Back in August, the same car was taken down the half-mile where it hit an impressive 168.7 mph (271.5 km/h). For this run, it was taken down the full 2.3-mile runway and was able to reach a top speed of 210.2 mph (338.3 km/h). That comfortably exceeds the car’s top speed when left stock that’s thought to be around the 200 mph (320 km/h) mark.
In the not too distant future, it seems apparent that the Lamborghini Huracan range will be updated with a new Huracan Performante model based around the facelifted Huracan Evo. The current Evo was launched with the same upgraded 5.2-liter V10 engine as the Performante so it is inevitable that a high-performance version of the Huracan Evo will have even more grunt on tap, perhaps somewhere close to the 660 hp or 670 hp mark, making it just as powerful as the Lamborghini Murcielago once was.
