Volkswagen has opened the order books for the T-Roc Cabriolet in Germany and other European markets.
The new VW T-Roc Cabriolet is a rather niche model, offering an open-top motoring experience to those -most likely few- wanting a convertible crossover. It features a fully automatic soft top that can open in just nine seconds and operate at speeds of up to 19 mph (30 km/h).

The range of the new VW T-Roc Cabriolet includes two trim options: Style and R-Line. The Style line is described as the “design-oriented” model of the range, offering plenty of equipment as standard. This includes 17-inch alloy wheels, interior and exterior chrome detailing, Lane Assist, Front Assist, a Composition infotainment system and more.
The R-Line trim of the convertible T-Roc receives a sportier treatment inside and out, along with darkened taillight clusters, a different design for the 17-inch alloy wheels, progressive steering, VW’s “sport comfort” seats and driving modes, among other.
In addition, VW offers the Black Style package as an option, which adds specific features finished in black, including the trim strip on the radiator grille, the door mirror housing and the 18-inch alloy wheels.
Customers will be offered two powertrains to choose from; the base 1.0-liter TSI with 113 HP (115 PS) and the 1.5-liter TSI with 147 HP (150 PS). Both of them are combined with front-wheel drive, with the 1.0-liter version offered with a six-speed manual transmission in the Style trim as standard. A seven-speed automatic is offered as an option on the more powerful 1.5-liter models.
Prices for the new VW T-Roc Cabriolet start from 27,495 euros for the Style model and from 32,810 euros for the R-Line variant in its home market in Germany.
