If you’re into supercars and you appreciate certain rare specimen, then this 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera should be right up your alley.
It’s getting auctioned off through Bring a Trailer, with 21,000 miles (33,800 km) on its odo. It also comes with the classic Superleggera side stripe, a Grigio Telesto exterior and a black Alcantara interior.
Back in 2008, this used to be the equivalent of the modern-day Huracan Performante, and a rival to the Ferrari F430 Scuderia. With 530 PS (523 HP) and 376 lb-ft (510 Nm) of torque at its disposal, courtesy of a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V10, it could sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.8 seconds, aided by all-wheel drive and a six-speed e-gear robotized manual transmission with paddle shifters.

Performance aside, the Gallardo Superleggera also features several visual upgrades that help it stand out, such as carbon fiber mirror housings, side skirts, rear diffuser and rear spoiler. This particular one even comes with the optional carbon ceramic brakes for the factory-stock 19-inch wheels, which feature black six-piston calipers all-round.
As for the interior, there’s full Alcantara upholstery, with lighter accents in the center of the seats. Features include carbon fiber inserts for the doors, center console, handbrake lever, gauge cluster surround and for the leather-wrapped steering wheel, plus a multimedia system with satellite navigation and more.
Nowadays, Aston Martin is using the Superleggera moniker, which means superlight, but originally, it was the Gallardo that made it popular in modern supercar circles. With three days left in the auction the highest bid is $77k, which we think is rather reasonable for such an exhilarating supercar, provided of course it doesn’t skyrocket ’till the auction ends.
